The art on the street.
In every country graffitis are seen in different
ways, while in Colombia and Honduras, this kind of art is used to express the disagreement
that people have with the corruption, government, war and the different
situations that they live, in other countries like Argentina and Brazil the
graffitis express something completely different.
In general, artists use graffitis to express what
they think about a particular topic and they also try to show to the citizens
the reality of these things.
I agree with those cities that allow artists to
express what they want, because the art that they make can help to change a lot
of bad things that each city has.

Thai gangsters
Thai gangsters are an example of cultural appropriation of another subculture because they have adopted the things that caught their attention from another culture, in this case Mexican gangsters. They like to wear the clothes that Mexican gangsters wear, they also like their tattoos but they don't imitate the bad things like the violence, which is characteristic of this culture.
From this video and article we could learn that Thai gangsters are normal people with normal jobs and families, and they live an ordinary life in the day but they are gangsters at heart in the night. We also learned that these people don't adopt the bad things of Mexican gangster like violence, they just adopt the clothes because they thing that these clothes are appropriate for the weather of their city. People of this culture also write songs about corruption and the bad thing of their society.

We are an equal race
We are an
equal race and any aspect such as money, skin color, position in the society or
your job can define if you are better than other person or if you deserve to
have more benefits than others.
After
watching this video I felt so disappointed, I cannot believe that some people
can’t get a job or can’t go to school because of their skin color or
descendant. Afrocolombians as colombian citizens have the right to study, feed
and have a right place to live.
I think
that we have to get together as a community and try to destroy these phenomenona,
racism and discrimination, two things that cause damage in a lot of people.

My name is Maria
Alejandra Drombo, I study Industrial Engineering at the Universidad del Norte,
in Barranquilla, Colombia. I´m from Barranquilla, Colombia and I have lived
here my entire life, I love this city, its weather, culture and people. I
really like the sun, beach and the blue sky that is representative from this
city.
One of my favorite hobbies
is travel, and Colombia has a lot of places that I really love and can amaze to
any traveler. Cartagena, San Andres or the different mountains that are around
the country are a perfect example of
the beautiful landscape that this country offers.
I like to spend time
with my family and friends, swimming and learning about other cultures are
things that I enjoy too.
